Her entrepreneurial spirit embodies the experience-centered learning opportunities provided by the Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business, allowing her to gain real-world experience while earning her degree.

The Trulaske College of Business proudly celebrated its December 2024 graduates during a commencement ceremony held on Friday, December 13, at the Hearnes Center. More than 280 graduates were recognized, marking a significant academic milestone. Friends, family, faculty and staff gathered to honor these students, who are now poised to embark on the next chapter of their careers.

A group of four International Trade Center (ITC) students recently had the opportunity to travel to Nairobi, Kenya, as part of their internship with Kentegra Biotechnology, a leading company in agricultural biotechnology and sustainable farming solutions.

Rami Merayyan, a Columbia, Missouri native, always knew Mizzou was the place for him—its campus and traditions were the backdrop to his childhood. His love for problem-solving and mathematics led him to the Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business, where he found a perfect fit in the master of accountancy program.

Montinae Porter’s journey at Mizzou has been one of self-discovery, resilience and growth. Coming from Chicago, she chose Mizzou not only for its renowned business school but also to carve out her own path as the first in her family to leave the state for college. Initially uncertain about her career, Montinae found her passion in the Finance Department and overcame personal challenges that deepened her leadership and communication skills.

Paige Lannerd's journey at Mizzou has been shaped by a combination of personal connections, academic exploration and leadership development. Drawn to Mizzou by its community atmosphere and strong academic offerings, Paige found her passion for marketing, particularly its psychological elements.

From the moment Monika Vanek set foot on Mizzou's campus as a seventh grader, she knew it was where she would eventually belong. That quiet sense of connection guided her decision to attend the university, where she found not only a strong academic foundation but a deep sense of community. As a student in the Finance Department at the Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business, Monika has honed her passion for real estate, setting ambitious career goals and embracing every challenge along the way.

The Trulaske Leadership Conference offers a dynamic platform for student leaders to enhance their leadership skills and forge meaningful connections with industry professionals. Held annually, the conference brings together up to 125 students and 30 corporate representatives, providing a day-long experience designed to cultivate leadership. Guided by a contemporary theme, the event encourages students to refine their leadership styles while engaging in thoughtful discussions, networking opportunities and experience-centered learning workshops.
