Trulaske Students Win Purdue's HR Case Competition

Students in the Trulaske College of Business recently took first place in the Purdue HR Case Competition and Conference held by Purdue University. This was the second consecutive year that students participated in this impactful experience-centered learning opportunity. By engaging in real-world scenarios, students develop critical thinking, problem-solving and teamwork skills that cannot be fully taught in a classroom. Case competitions, in particular, challenge students to apply academic knowledge to complex business or social issues, fostering creativity and resilience under pressure.

The Management Department at the Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business has placed 40th overall and 26th among public institutions in the United States in the latest TAMUGA Rankings for research productivity. The TAMUGA Rankings – jointly tracked by Texas A &M University and the University of Georgia – measure per capita publications in the field’s top scholarly journals over the past five years, offering an objective benchmark of academic productivity rather than historical reputation and judgement.

Maddie and Max Meystrik always knew where they wanted to go to college: the Trulaske College of Business at the University of Missouri. The siblings from Moberly, Missouri – who are both in the Cornell Leadership Program (CLP), Trulaske Student Ambassadors and members of the Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity – applied only to Mizzou. After all, Tiger blood runs in the family. “What can I say, we both love Mizzou,” Maddie said.
