Accounting students shine at prestigious KPMG Global Advantage Program

The Trulaske College of Business continues to educate the global leaders of the future, with six accounting students selected to attend the highly regarded KPMG Global Advantage Program in Brussels, Belgium. These Trulaske students – Jack Burton, Blake Conrad, Kaile Kalton, Ryan Klostermann, Katie Mitchell and Mason Williams – stood out among roughly 120 outstanding accounting students from around the globe. This strong representation underscores the outstanding quality of Trulaske's nationally recognized School of Accountancy.

Sweet lessons: Students in consumer behavior class develop new products for Hershey

In a collaboration with The Hershey Company, students in the MKT4220: Consumer Behavior class at the Trulaske College of Business are getting a firsthand experience of product development and brand extension. Spearheaded by Associate Professor Courtney Cothren, the project offers students the opportunity to explore the real-world process of product creation, marketing strategy development and retail execution techniques.

Four Trulaske alumni among 2023 Mizzou R.A.H. awardees

Candidates for this award are 35 years or younger and have shown exceptional professional achievement, along with a demonstrated record of volunteerism, both on campus and in their local communities. Applications open each January, and winners are announced in June.

By Maria Yore Speaking on Zoom from the other side of the world, Allison Fitts, BS BA '16, took a break from her busy schedule one day in early March to relive her college experience and career success to date. She was in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, working as the associate director of a concert attached to the Formula One Race at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

A Trulaske story: Students selected for Tru 20 share the impact of the college on their Mizzou experience

Sometimes recognition for students focuses on things that are tangible, like holding an office or maintaining a certain GPA. But students at the Trulaske College of Business excel and contribute in a million unique ways – they might organize a food drive for Tiger Pantry, receive corporate recognition for internship work, lead other students on a study abroad experience, or start a profitable business. In the fall of 2022, the college created a program to recognize students for their stories, calling it Tru 20.

Since its inception in 1917, Tap Day at Mizzou has been a celebrated tradition, recognizing a distinguished group of students invited or "tapped" to join one of six prestigious honorary societies: QEBH, Mystical Seven, LSV, Mortar Board, Omicron Delta Kappa, and the Rollins Society. These societies honor those who have made substantial contributions to the university and exemplify unwavering commitment to service and leadership within the Mizzou community.
