The hugely successful beach volleyball player, national volleyball champion and Mizzou alum says she’s a big believer in doing the things that scare you. In fact, stepping outside of her comfort zone seems to be the constant in all areas of her success. Kan’s volleyball career started in 2013 at the University of Missouri -- a school the Hawaii-native had never heard of before visiting.

Vivian Wang and Jerry Briggs, a St. Louis KPMG tax partner, shared the presentation, “Grow Your Career in Tax,” with almost 250 students. Prior to her presentation, Wang held office hours for students to seek advice about the accounting profession and tips for securing a job post-graduation. Wang finds tremendous value in building relationships with aspiring professionals.

The Trulaske College of Business hosted a highly successful career fair last week, with over 800 students and 200 companies in attendance. The event attracted a diverse range of organizations from both the public and private sectors, including the government and military. Career opportunities were available across all college emphasis areas, including marketing, management, accounting and finance.
