Mentoring, Connections, Support
Not all talented students know what to do next after starting at Mizzou. This is where the Vasey Academy steps in by providing talented under-resourced students from urban areas* with mentoring opportunities, exposure to corporate executives and additional support to build a professional development network while learning more about the business world.
*A metropolitan area with a population of a minimum of 50,000 people (per U.S. Census and State of Missouri definitions: MCDC, 2023, U.S. Bureau, 2023) and a high school class size of no fewer than 200 students.
A Well-Rounded Base
The Vasey experience provides participants with resources to build a base for their future business development. This includes a variety of opportunities such as mentoring by business executives, unique networking opportunities with alumni, dedicated advisors, career coaches, supportive Trulaske faculty and staff, and seminars focused on current business trends in partnership with Vasey Advisory Board executives.
Scholarship support
Vasey Academy participants receive a $1,000 non-renewable scholarship and have access to program-specific scholarships, as well as the opportunity to participate in corporate trips to locations such as Chicago, Kansas City and St. Louis.
