Then again, one could say that it was almost as if a light switch was flipped during her sophomore year — as a networking opportunity at a conference would lead to an internship with Siemens, one of the largest industrial manufacturing companies in the world, in the summer of 2016.

Marketing professor named Professor of the Year at recent ROARS Awards

Keene, an associate teaching professor of marketing in the Trulaske College of Business, had been nominated twice in his first five years at Mizzou for the Professor of the Year Award at the annual ROARS Awards. In both instances, his wife, Misty, had attended the event, which is run by the Mizzou Made Department of Mizzou Athletics in the same spirit of ESPN’s ESPY Awards.

Building a truly symbiotic relationship

MU research suggests an organization's attitude toward diversity is a key contributor to helping refugees become productive members of a host nation. Ann Peng and John Schaubroeck, both professors of management at the University of Missouri, believe hiring refugees can boost the economies of host countries. In fact, research has shown that assimilation is easier for refugees who work, making it more likely that they will contribute to their new communities.

Given the unprecedented circumstances that surrounded this past school year with the COVID-19 pandemic, the advisors at the Trulaske College of Business would not have been surprised with a lower amount of nominations than in years past.

Trulaske Celebrates Spring 2021 Graduates with In-Person Ceremonies

Trulaske’s Spring 2021 graduates were recognized with multiple in-person ceremonies this May. To ensure the health and safety of graduates and their guests, the University of Missouri held graduation ceremonies over two weekends – May 7-9 and May 14-16 – allowing for plenty of space for social distancing. Students receiving master’s and doctoral degrees from the college were recognized during MU Graduate School ceremonies in Mizzou Arena on May 7 and 8. Trulaske held its ceremonies for BS BA graduates on the morning of May 15 in the arena.
