Call to Action

by Kelsey Allen Trulaske College of Business alumni are leaders in their fields — and at the university. Since 2011, five have served as president of the Mizzou Alumni Association (MAA), and the president-elect is a College of Business grad, too. To these six volunteers, leadership isn’t simply a position. It’s a lifestyle, a mindset and a way of moving through the world that makes others want to follow.

Trulaske alumna joins prestigious program at Chinese university

Madison Plaster, a 2018 Mizzou graduate with degrees in international studies and business administration, joined an elite group of scholars from 40 different countries at Peking University in Beijing as a prestigious Yenching Scholar this fall. Through internships and leadership positions during her time at the Trulaske College of Business, Plaster gained an interest in food security, trade, and China’s Belt and Road Intiative, which seeks to connect more than 60% of the world’s population through infrastructure investment, regulation, and cultural ties.

MU Freshman Rebecca Price Becomes Trulaske’s First Stamps Scholar

The Trulaske College of Business is home to one of the five outstanding freshmen in the Stamps Scholars program this year. Rebecca Price, a freshman from Germantown, Tennessee, received a four-year, full scholarship from the Stamps Scholars program, which is a partnership between the University of Missouri and the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation, Inc.

Trulaske hosts Spring 2020 International Week

The Trulaske International Relations Office had another successful International Week held on February 24-27, 2020. More than 300 students participated in the EDGE-approved events that focused on history, culture and business in the European Union, South Africa and Peru. Additional workshops focused on volunteering abroad and highlighting global experiences in the job application process. The event allowed students to learn from faculty in the Trulaske College of Business as well as members of the community.
