ITC Spring 2020 interns present final projects

Sixteen Trulaske College of Business students interning with the MU International Trade Center shared findings from the semester-long market research projects completed for four Missouri manufacturers on May 2, 2020. The students have completed extensive research to identify and evaluate international markets or industry sectors with sales potential for each of the participating companies. Companies working with the Trade Center this fall included:

Finance professor, PhD alumnus receive 2019 Hillcrest Behavioral Finance Award

Kuntara Pukthuanthong, Robert J. Trulaske, Jr. Professor of Finance, and Trulaske alumnus Khaled Obaid, who currently is an assistant professor in the Department of Accounting & Finance at California State University – East Bay, are the winners of the 2019 Hillcrest Behavioral Finance Award for their paper, “A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words: Measuring Investor Sentiment by Combining Machine Learning and Photos from News.”

Poets & Quants names 3 Trulaske MBA students to top lists

Poets & Quants, a leading publication for business school news and rankings, has named three Trulaske College of Business Crosby MBA students to two of its annual lists. Best and Brightest MBA graduate Micheala Sosby was named to the publication’s sixth annual MBA Best and Brightest list. The list recognizes 100 outstanding MBA students from business schools around the world for their academic excellence, extracurricular leadership and professional achievements.

Trulaske College of Business announces $1 million gift to School of Accountancy

The Trulaske College of Business proudly announces a gift to benefit the School of Accountancy. The gift, which was made during the university’s historic Mizzou: Our Time to Lead campaign, will establish an endowment that will reach $1 million. This generous contribution will be used to fund a professorship and programs focused on tax education.

15 Trulaske faculty, students and alumnus ‘unveiled’ for 2020 Tap Day honors

Each year, select University of Missouri students, staff and faculty are inducted into one of six secret honorary societies at Mizzou's annual Tap Day. The six societies – QEBH, Mystical Seven, LSV, Mortar Board, Omicron Delta Kappa and the Rollins Society – honor new members for their service, leadership and commitment to the Mizzou community. This year, the list of honorees includes 13 Trulaske College of Business students, 2 faculty members and an alumnus of the college.
